Gwine for Gnome 2.x
-------------------

Gwine is a Gnome application to manage your wine cellar. Latest release
may be found at http://gwine.tuxfamily.org.

USE GWINE
To add a wine in cellar, you must create an appellation, and before this,
you must create a geographical zone, and before this, uh, no, in fact,
that's all...

ZONES
Zones are geographical zones or appellation. A geographical zone may contain
another geographical zone (a sub-zone, in fact) or an appellation.
In GWine, zones are showed as tree (hirarchie ?). Geographical zones are
showed as nodes and appellation as leaf. Wines may be declared only in
appellations.

GEOGRAPHICAL ZONE
A geographical zone is, as its same says, a zone (on geographical point of
view) where vineyards exist. It may be:
	- a continent (America, Europa,...),
	- a country (Chili, France, Italie, USA,...),
	- a vineyard (Bordelais, California,...),
	- a piece of vineyard (Medoc in Bordelais),
	- whatever else you want.

APPELLATION
An appellation may be considered as an origine-controlled appellation (AOC
in France or DOC in Italia, for example) or as well-known appellation
(American and Australian wines use vine names for their appellation, like
Chardonnay).
An appellation may have a special sub-node : an extension. It may be used
to (prciser) the appellation. For example, in France, some (parcelles) make
better wine than others in one vineyard. In general (?), village name is
added to appellation like :
Coteaux du Layon Saint Aubin de Luigne
where "Coteaux du Layon" is the appellation, and "Saint Aubin de Luigne"
the village (called extension in GWine).
An extension may be a (cru/vintage) too : Bordeaux Premier Cru (Premier
Cru is the extension).

Some examples of wine definitions (in ASCII art):
Wines
 |
 |--------------------------------------|
 | |
France(z) Italia(z)
 | |
 |------------------------------| Chianti(a)
 | |
Bordeaux(z) Anjou(z)
 | |
 | Coteaux du Layon(a)
 | |- Saint Aubin de Luigne(e)
Haut Medoc(z) |- Saint Lambert du Lattay(e)
 |
 |-----------------|
 | |
Saint Julien(a) Margaux(a)

where (z) are geographical zones, (a) appellations and (e) extensions.

But if you have only wines from one country, your first zones may be
vineyards. You may organize zone tree as you want.

To create zones, appellations and extension, you can use Gwine menu in
menu bar, or right click on tree. You can modify or delete them by same ways.

WINES
Wines may be created only when an appellation, or an extension, is selected in
zone tree.
In the example above, if France/Bordeaux/Haut Medoc/Margaux is selected, then
created wine will be a Margaux. You can enter informations such as:
	- domain (where wine is maked),
	- vintage (year of (elaboration)),
	- color,
	- price for one bottle,
	- number of bottles,
	- producers (see below),
	- etc...

To create, modify or delete a wine, use Gwine menu in menu bar, or right click
on wine list (on the right of zone tree).

CELLAR BOOK
In wine dialog box, you can manage in and out in bottom part. To add an
entry in cellar book, you must use form and add button. Remove button removes
last entry from book.

PRODUCERS
Every wine should have a producer. A produc may easily be defined with Gwine.
To create, modify or delete a producer, use Gwine menu in menu bar with
Producers node selected in zone tree, or right click in Producers list (to
do that, Producers node must be selected in tree).
